Fish is Illinois' 23rd verbal commitment.

Fighting Illini football just picked up a massive commitment -- literally. Via his Twitter account, three-star offensive lineman Eddy Fish has flipped his verbal commitment from Boston College to Illinois. The six-foot-six, 305 lb. prospect just concluded an official visit to Champaign.

Along with Illinois and Boston College, Fish had other scholarship offers from Temple, Villanova, and a few other smaller schools. Vanderbilt was also expressing interest in the Massachusetts native.

Scouting Report

Fish fires off the ball well and can get to the second level to make a block. He does a good job engaging the defensive player, and he does a good job finishing his blocks. He is patient in pass protection, but he needs to improve his initial punch. He has long arms and is able to get his hands inside on defensive ends, but he needs to add flexibility to aid his athleticism.
