Fighting Illini football has already secured two fairly impressive offensive lineman for their 2017 recruiting class, and they have a chance at adding a third. Per Illini Inquirer, three-star prospect Howard Watkins (OH) will announce his college decision on Monday. Watkins is currently rated as the nation’s No. 1082 overall prospect by 247Sports.
The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Ohio product has additional Power 5 scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, Louisville, Iowa State, and Rutgers. The Bearcats and Cyclones appear to be Illinois’ primary competition in this race.
