Three-star defensive back Quran Hafiz (FL) is one week away from announcing his college decision, and Illinois football still appears to be firmly in the race. Lovie Smith personally visited the Jacksonville native last week, and that check-in came on the heels of another in-home visit from secondary coach Paul Williams.
1 week exactly until I sign them papers and head to the next level ✍️

Hafiz’s final list of schools consists of Illinois, Nebraska, Indiana, and Iowa State. He holds additional Power 5 scholarship offers from Minnesota, Oregon State, Boston College, Duke, N.C. State, Purdue, Syracuse, and Virginia Tech.
Hafiz, a Jacksonville native, is rated as the nation’s No. 842 overall prospect by 247Sports. By announcing his commitment on December 19, he’ll be able to sign a National Letter of Intent and enroll early at his school in order to participate for Spring practice.
