Fighting Illini basketball’s opening homestand will continue on Tuesday night with another non-conference game against McKendree (D-II). The Orange and Blue are coming off a closer-than-expected 79-64 victory over Northern Kentucky in which senior wing Malcolm Hill set a new career-high with 40 points.
This will be Illinois’ first-ever matchup against McKendree, and according to KenPom, John Groce’s squad has a 100% chance of victory (I believe that may be the site’s default projection for every cross-division game).
