Illinois football has made the cut for another one of their recruiting targets. On Tuesday morning, three-star defensive end Bobby Roundtree (FL) narrowed his list to five schools, including Indiana, Louisville, Virginia Tech, and Michigan State along with the Fighting Illini. The 6-foot-5, 215-pound Largo product is rated as the nation’s No. 1391 overall player by 247Sports.

Roundtree has additional Power 5 scholarship offers from Minnesota, Rutgers, Iowa State, Kansas State, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Oregon State, Vanderbilt, Boston College, California, and Syracuse.
The Florida native’s skill set appears to be quite raw, although the following the excerpt from this Scout update states that he’s made some huge strides this offseason.
Roundtree is fairly raw and has to continue to work on developing some go-to moves, but possesses a great frame and undeniable size and length with his senior year right around the corner. Roundtree is a smooth athlete that does a nice job of operating in space and chasing down the football, but has packed on noticeable mass in recent months as well.
