College Football Rankings Week 2: Illinois receives votes in Coaches Poll

The first weekend of college football provided plenty of upsets and drama. Were the top teams in the nation able to maintain their elite rankings?

College football is finally back. And after some intriguing Thursday and Friday night matchups, the first Saturday of the season was upon us. The finish of the day had to be BYU's game-winning Hail Mary touchdown pass to stun Nebraska, but matchups like TCU-Minnesota and Washington-Boise State also made a strong case for most thrilling. The top teams in the country were able to hold their ground this week, but there was a lot of shifting beneath them.
