Senior running back Josh Ferguson breaks 2,000 career rushing yards
At least there was one positive that came out of Illinois' 48-14 loss to North Carolina this weekend. Early in the game, Josh Ferguson became the 17th player in Fighting Illini history to rush for over 2,000 career yards. He also becomes one of only two active players in the nation to have over 2,000 rushing yards and 1,000 career receiving yards. The other is Arizona State's D.J. Foster. As if that wasn't enough, he also is now forth on the all-time list for all-purpose yards at U of I with 3,807.
