Hey, there was a Fighting Illini basketball game today! The main storyline surrounding the program is and will continue to be Darius Paul's latest arrest, but the team responded well by defeating Bretigny Select 95-73 to improve to 2-1 on their European exhibition tour. Leron Black led the way with a double-double (15 points, 10 rebounds); Kendrick Nunn, Aaron Jordan, and Mike Thorne each added 12 points.
The Illinois starters for Saturday's exhibition were Jaylon Tate, Aaron Jordan, D.J. Williams, Michael Finke, and Mike Thorne. It's good to see that Groce elected to give the newcomers some more experience.
