North Dakota State went 23-10 during the 2014-15 season to clinch a second consecutive Summit League Championship. The Bison proceeded to make an appearance in the NCAA Tournament, but they lost their first round matchup against the Gonzaga Bulldogs 86-76. According to KenPom, the Bison finished the year ranked as the No. 138 overall team; Illinois was No. 69, for comparison.
The Bison are expected to have four returning starters next season, with the lone departure being shooting guard Lawrence Alexander to graduation--he averaged 18.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game last year.
