2015 MLB Draft: Kevin Duchene goes 158th overall by Athletics

Illinois' ace is the team's second player to be picked in the draft.

Illinois ace Kevin Duchene has been selected with the 158th overall pick in the 2015 MLB Draft by the Oakland Athletics. The junior LHP was named a Louisville Slugger Second Team All-American this season after going 11-2 with a 1.75 ERA.

Duchene is the second Illini to be picked in the draft. He joins fellow southpaw Tyler Jay, who was selected by the Minnesota Twins with the sixth overall pick on Monday night.
