Illini freshman Patrick Nelson has suffered a torn ACL and will presumably redshirt the 2015 season. The Chicago, IL native attended Hales Franciscan high school and was one of the top recruits from the state.

It's tough to see anyone go down with an injury like this, but Nelson still has his entire career ahead of him--here's to a speedy recovery.
