The Fighting Illini have picked up their second verbal commitment of the day. Trevour Simms, a three-star offensive tackle from East Saint Louis, IL (East St. Louis HS) gave his pledge to the coaching staff at a camp on Saturday afternoon. In addition to the Illini, he was also receiving interest from Boston College, Iowa, Iowa State, Louisville, Missouri, and Purdue.

Highlights
Dominic Thieman, a two-star receiver from Florida, also gave a verbal to the coaching staff on Saturday. Combined, this brings the program's total number of 2016 commitments to seven.
