- UT-Arlington point guard Johnny Hill will visit Illinois on Thursday; Baylor, Purdue, and Drake have also gotten involved. He'd be eligible immediately as a graduate transfer.

- Alterique Gilbert ('16 PG) has listed Illinois, UConn, Syracuse, Louisville, and Texas as his top five schools.

- Tyler Cook ('16 PF) has cut his list to Arkansas, Florida, Iowa, Iowa State, Missouri, and Virginia; the Illini expressed interest.

- Nolan Narain ('16 PF) has committed to San Diego State; the Illini had expressed interest.

- Xavier Simpson ('16 PG) received an offer from Texas Tech.

- Tony Carr ('16 PG) received an offer from St. John's
