According to 5 Dimes Casino and Sportsbook, the Illini could be in for a long season. The site released its early college football win total prop bets for almost every FBS team on Tuesday morning and Illinois' line was set at 3.5, with over bettors priced at -140 and under bets getting even money. That isn't exactly an optimistic projection for Tim Beckman's fourth season.
Several of Illinois' 2015 foes have also been posted:
- Kent State - 4.5
- Western Illinois - N/A
- North Carolina - 8
- Middle Tennessee - 7
- Nebraska - 8
- Iowa - N/A
- Wisconsin - 10
- Penn State - N/A
- Purdue - 4
- Ohio State - 11
- Northwestern - 6.5
Looking at the national picture, Ohio State leads the way with a projected 11 wins. Baylor, TCU, Marshall, and Wisconsin each follow with 10 wins each. The 'second tier' of teams includes six at 9.5--Alabama, Boise State, Florida State, Michigan State, Oregon and UCLA.
