News & Notes

- John Groce watched Paul Scruggs ('17 SF) on Wednesday afternoon.
- John Groce and Paris Parham were in Lexington, KY on Friday to watch Nick Ward ('16 PF) and Xavier Simpson ('16 PG).
- Illinois assistant Dustin Ford watched Nolan Narain ('16 PG), Christian David ('17 G), and Lamar Peters ('16 PG) on Friday.
- Illinois watched Belleville East's Javon Pickett ('17 SG) this week.
- Oregon watched Jamal Murray ('16 PG) on Wednesday. According to several recruiting analysts, it's only a matter of time until he reclassifies to 2015--Oregon and Kentucky would then be his strongest suitors. Villanova transfer Dylan Ennis would probably be Illinois-bound if Murray commits to Oregon.
- Bryce Aiken ('16 PG) was watched by Michigan, Vanderbilt, Stanford, St. John's, Harvard, Rutgers, Penn State, Maryland, and Auburn this week.
