Illinois Basketball offers scholarship to 4 star center Joey Brunk

The Illini have extended an offer to another 2016 big man.

Mike Granse-USA TODAY Sports

Illinois Basketball has offered a scholarship to 2016 center Joey Brunk. The Indianapolis, IN (Southport) native is currently listed at 6'10, 215 lbs. and is rated as the No. 109 overall recruit according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings. Brunk has received interest from Michigan State, Purdue, Iowa, and Butler in addition to the Illini.

This will almost certainly change as needs for 2015 continue to be addressed, but Illinois currently has three scholarships available in 2016. The staff has already offered Barret Benson and Issac Humphries, but you can expect that they'll continue to offer big men because adding more bodies to the front court will be a priority for this particular recruiting class.
