Illinois Basketball signee Jalen Coleman-Lands will be playing for the East Team in the 14th annual Jordan Brand Classic on April 17th; the event is one of the most prestigious high school basketball showcases in the country. For casual fans of the program, this will be a great opportunity to see him in action before he makes his way to Champaign this Summer.
Coleman-Lands, who committed to the Illini back in September, is rated as the No. 35 player in the class of 2015 by 247Sports; along with D.J. Williams, Aaron Jordan, and Darius Paul he's a member of a current top-15 recruiting class for Illinois.
Here's what the event's website had to say about Coleman-Lands:
Arguably the best shooter in the 2015 class, Coleman is known for his range. However, he is not limited to just shooting beyond the arc, as he is an outstanding ball handler with strong moves to get to the hoop. The Indianapolis native has played on the Nike EYBL circuit with All-Ohio and participated in the Nike Skills Academies. Coleman has committed to play for John Groce at the University of Illinois.
The event will take place on Friday, April 17th at 7:00pm CT on ESPN2. Here are the East and West rosters in their entirety.
