John Groce previews Illinois vs Alabama

No. 3 seed Illinois will face No. 6 seed Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday night. Coach Groce met with the media on Sunday night to give a quick preview.

John Groce addressed the media after the NIT Selection Show on Sunday night to give a quick preview of Illinois' matchup against the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Illini (19-13, 9-9) received a No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 seed Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday night at 8:00pm CT on ESPN.

Like last year, Illinois will be forced to play all of their NIT games on the road due to the ongoing renovations of the State Farm Center; the venue will be unusable until December.

The winner of Illinois/Alabama will face the winner of No. 2 seed Miami (FL)/No. 7 seed NC Central in the second round of the tournament on Friday.
