Illinois received the seventh seed and will face second-seeded Missouri in the NWCA National Duals Tournament quarterfinal round at noon on Saturday in Iowa City, Iowa.
The Illini (13-4) advanced to the final eight after a 38-0 shutout win over Kent State in the regional round on Sunday at Huff Hall. The Tigers (21-0) enter the weekend following a 34-3 victory over American in their regional matchup. The marquee matchup of the dual will take place at 125-pounds with Illinois' two-time defending NCAA champion Jesse Delgado taking on second-ranked Alan Walters of Missouri.
The winner of the dual will advance to the semifinals to face the winner of Ohio State (13-3) vs. Lehigh (13-4) at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
All four quarterfinal contest will be held at noon followed by semifinals at 3 p.m. The championship and third-place match ups will be televised on the Big Ten Network at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.
