Illinois Basketball has offered a scholarship to 2016 shooting guard Zach Norvell. The Chicago, IL native (Simeon Career Academy) is currently rated as the No. 104 overall recruit and No. 20 at his position according to 247Sports' composite rankings. Norvell currently boasts offers from the Illini, Memphis, and Oklahoma; Georgetown, Kansas, and Michigan State are among others that have shown interest.
Norvell took an unofficial visit to Champaign on Saturday to watch Illinois' game against Penn State. This was his second trip to Illinois as his first visit came in October of 2013.
Zach Norvell (@ZackN_22) just got offered by the #Illini. He was at the ILL-PSU game today. Great shooter, love his 6'4 frame on the wing.

Norvell could potentially become the fourth Simeon player to suit up for the Illini in 2016-17 as he'd join Kendrick Nunn, Jaylon Tate, and D.J. Williams.
