Illinois News: New Series 'Blue Collar, Orange Swag' to Premier this November

Can't get enough of Illinois Basketball? "Blue Collar, Orange Swag: Inside Illinois Basketball" will take a behind the scenes look at the ins and outs of Illini hoops when it premiers this November. The show will air on four straight Sundays, beginning on November 9th, and each new episode will be posted to FightingIllini.com the following Monday.

With college basketball season right around the corner, there are plenty of things to be excited about, and the new series should add to that list. Check out the preview for the new show here!

"After two weeks away from competition the Fighting Illini women's golf team is back in action as Illinois heads south to the Louisville-hosted Cardinal Cup."

The Fighting Illini women's golf team will travel to Kentucky to participate in the Cardinal Cup this week. The 54 hole tournament kicks off on Monday, October 19th and will be held at the University of Louisville Golf Club. The tournament field consists of 14 different teams, 5 of which reside in Golfweek's top 50 collegiate rankings. The Fighting Illini will play 36 holes on Monday, and the final 18 will be played on the following Tuesday.

"Fighting Illini men's tennis redshirt junior Julian Childers claimed the A Singles title at the 2015 Crusader Invitational hosted by the University of Valparaiso."

Julian Childers won 4 straight matches en route to a victory at the 2015 Crusader Invitational this past weekend. The Illini junior earned his first singles victory of the fall after defeating Luka Vitosevic of Toledo 6-2, 6-0. The Illini also got a huge contribution from freshman Pablo Landa who reached the championship match of the B Singles draw before falling to Western Michigan's Mate Svjetlicic. Childers and Landa also played together in the Doubles draw where they lost in the third round of play.
