The marathon that is Illinois Basketball recruiting continues this weekend as the program is hosting official visits for two of their top targets--Elijah Thomas and Jalen Coleman.
Thomas, a 5-star big man from Texas, is currently rated as the #27 recruit in 247sports' Composite Rankings. Thomas arrived in Champaign last night and his visit is already under way. Fans and students have been promoting the visit through social media via "#ILLijah"; the big man has become a fan of the nickname. Thomas is currently down to Illinois, SMU, LSU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, and UNLV.

In a surprising turn of events, Jalen Coleman moved his official visit to this weekend after his perceived favorite Notre Dame "pulled the plug" on his recruitment. The Indiana native and 5-star Combo Guard is currently down to Illinois and UNLV. There's been no word of his arrival yet, but he's expected to reach campus sometime on Friday.
