It's been nearly 10 years since that magical Final Four run--10 years.
It's been nearly 9 years since Dee Brown played his final game as an Illini--9 years.
Dee is, and always will be, the face of Illinois Basketball. He was the most beloved player on our most beloved team. His passion for the Illini is second-to-none and he isn't afraid to show it; he gave us a perfect example of this Thursday night.
The Illini are hosting what could be their most important recruiting visit in recent memory. Jalen Brunson, the #1 PG in the class of 2015, will be in Champaign for his first official visit this weekend. The Lincolnshire-Stevenson product is currently down to Illinois, Villanova, Temple, Purdue, and Michigan State.
Here's Dee's message to Brunson:
Honestly if the #1 pg in the country from our STATE stay home he will be BIGGER than me and dwill @jbcrossover5 have a great visit ILLINI!!!
