Sunday fun day has come and gone. Here's a video that may help some of you remember your weekends and prepare you to recap the Illini's:
Thank you College Humor.
Alright. Stuff happened this weekend. Let's take a look.
The football team continued its recruiting momentum with a slew of big name recruits visiting this weekend. As of right now (late Sunday night), there is no word of any commitments. However, if you'd like to share in the speculation, check out the Football Recruiting thread at Illinois Loyalty. I'll start you on page 51.
Illinois Baseball swept Michigan State this weekend as junior, Casey Fletcher, continued his torrid week with two consecutive walk off hits. Fightingillini.com has it covered as the Illini clinched a birth into the B1G Tournament.
The softball team pounded Penn State to complete a series sweep and earn the ninth seed in the Big Ten Tournament where they will face the Iowa Hawkeyes.
In men's golf, Illinois was prevented from capturing their sixth straight B1G Ten Tournament title as they finished four strokes behind the champion Minnesota Golden Gophers. Sophomore, Charlie Danielson, shared medalist honors by shooting a +1, 289 for the tournament.
In a shocker, the odds on favorite, California Chrome, won the Kentucky Derby. Jimmy Fallon decides to have some fun with the horse race.
In a real shocker, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. was finally hit by punches. After bleeding his own blood for the first time in his professional career, Money still remained undefeated. Read about how a rematch is likely to happen although that's not the fight any boxing fan wants to see.
With the Bulls watching from home, this basically sums up the first round of the NBA playoffs (from Deadspin):
The Chicago Blackhawks keep rolling as they took a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Minnesota Wild yesterday. The playoff monster known as Bryan Bickell continues to fill the stat sheet. Second City Hockey has all the coverage you need.
While most of you reading probably think this, Donovonn Young decided to take it to social media:
I am so blown when I see girls walk into class with the Kam's feet. Like can you rinse your feet off before you come to class at least lol

We'll end on that note.
Enjoy Cinco de Mayo and power through this week. Celebrating your mothers is right around the corner.
