It looks like Alex Golesh didn't take much of a Memorial Day weekend holiday at all. The Illini's ace recruiter landed three star running back Reggie Corbin out of Washington, D.C. this afternoon.

Corbin is 5'10" and weighs 190 lbs, so I wouldn't be shocked to see him redshirt his first season in Champaign. That being said, he runs a 4.48 40 and that's always fairly useful.

Corbin chose the Fighting Illini over offers from Marshall, Old Dominion, Toledo, and Washington State. It's not the sexiest of offer sheets, but that doesn't always mean everything. Josh Ferguson was basically the same size coming out of high school and his offer list was Air Force, Ball State, East Carolina, Memphis, Ohio, and Toledo.

At worst, he helps at depth at a position that is always a bad pileup away from needing a new hero. The 2015 recruiting class currently ranks 9th in the Big Ten, just behind Michigan State and somehow right ahead of Ohio State. Strange days, indeed.
