National Signing Day Roundup: Illinois' 2014 Class

National Signing Day came and went for Illinois without a hitch and without a shock. Here's the 18 guys we ended up with, and here's how they compare to the rest of the Big Ten.

Trevor Ruszkowksi-USA TODAY Spor

Illinois expected 18 National Letters of Intent today, and they got exactly what they expected. No recruits surprised Illinois today, but none broke their hearts either. In Champaign, we call that a square deal.

As of 2:30 p.m., Rivals ranks Illinois' class 71st in the country and 13th in the Big Ten (we include Rutgers and Maryland now) ahead of only Purdue. Here's the Big Ten rankings.

No. 3 - Ohio St. Buckeyes

No. 21 - Michigan St. Spartans

No. 31 - Michigan Wolverines

No. 32 - Nebraska Cornhuskers

No. 33 - Wisconsin Badgers

No. 36 - Indiana Hoosiers

No. 52 - Minnesota Golden Gophers

No. 53 - Maryland Terrapins

No. 57 - Rutgers Scarlet Knights

No. 60 - Iowa Hawkeyes

No. 65 - Northwestern Wildcats

No. 71 - Illinois Fighting Illini

No. 74 - Purdue Boilermakers
