Here's what Illinois Head Coach Tim Beckman had to say after the program's victory over Northwestern:
Beckman: Two years ago here I was disappointed with where the program was at. Proud of the way this team fought.
Beckman: I can't tell you what another game means to this team.
Beckman: This was a goal. To beat Northwestern was a goal. To be bowl eligible was one of the goals.
Beckman: These players have bought in on and off the football field.
Beckman: Not worried about job security. I want our players to be happy.
Beckman: I challenge the negativity in this room. Be positive for the players.
Beckman: O'Toole is one heck of a leader and competitive.
Beckman: best of all, we get to practice next week.
Beckman: I think we're moving in the direction we need to. Didn't know it was this down when I took over.
Beckman: I haven't even thought about whether I'll be back next year. I was worried about Northwestern.
