You Bet Your Ass: Week 10

In which we finally get to gamble on more than five games.

Remember how happy and proud of ourselves we all were a week ago because we all came out in the black and looked oh so smart? Well, week nine came around and kind of kicked us all in the ass. Only three gamblers wound up winning anything and two of them are currently tied for last place. We're as good at gambling as the Big Ten is at football. If you're like me, you've been annoyed with only having five games to wager on the past few weeks. Why have a fourteen team conference if only ten teams play? Good news! There are six whole games this week! Wowee!

Northwestern vs Iowa (-6), O/U: 42

Primiano: $50 on Under 42

Cain: $50 on Over 42

Darin: $25 on Iowa -6

Vainisi: $25 on Iowa -6

Vallese: $25 on Iowa -6

Smith: $25 on Over 42

Rench: $100 on Iowa -6

Whitchurch: $100 on Over 42

Silich: $25 on Over 42

Primiano: This will be the ugliest Big Ten game of the weekend, by far.

Silich: Neither of these teams is good. That is all I have to say about that.

Maryland vs Penn State (-2.5), O/U: 48

Primiano: $25 on Maryland +2.5

Cain: $50 on Over 48

Darin: $50 on Penn State -2.5

Vainisi: $50 on Maryland +2.5

Vallese: $25 on Penn State -2.5

Smith: $50 on Over 48

Rench: $25 on Penn State -2.5

Whitchurch: $25 on Penn State -2.5

Silich: $25 on Penn State -2.5

Silich: If Maryland's defense couldn't stop Wisconsin's one dimensional attack, I don't think they'll be able to hold down Christian Hackenberg and the paper offensive line.

Vallese: The Nittany Lions almost beat one of the best teams in the Big Ten last weekend in Ohio State, and consistently cover the spread. They'll beat the Terps at home.

Wisconsin (-11) vs Rutgers, O/U: not listed

Primiano: $100 on Wisconsin -11

Cain: $100 on Wisconsin -11

Darin: $25 on Rutgers +11

Vainisi: $100 on Wisconsin -11

Vallese: $100 on Rutgers +11 (Trevor forgot to include a $100 bet, I made one for him)

Smith: $50 on Rutgers +11

Rench: $50 on Wisconsin -11

Whitchurch: $100 on Wisconsin -11

Silich: $50 on Rutgers +11

Vallese: My upset special of the week is Rutgers beating Wisconsin at home. The Scarlet Knights almost always cover the spread.

Cain: Time for Gordon to run all over the Scarlet Knights.

Purdue vs Nebraska (-24.5), O/U: 61.5

Primiano: $100 on Over 61.5

Cain: $100 on Over 61.5

Darin: $100 on Over 61.5

Vainisi: $25 on Purdue +24.5

Vallese: $25 on Nebraska -24.5

Smith: $100 on Over 61.5

Rench: $50 on Nebraska -24.5

Whitchurch: $25 on Purdue +24.5

Silich: $50 on Purdue +24.5

Rench: In-conference cupcake. Heisman candidate. Home-field advantage. This it's about as one-sided as it gets.

Smith: Purdue’s strength is scoring. When your strength is not "stop Ameer Abdullah", then it’s going to be over.

Indiana vs Michigan (-9.5), O/U: 53.5

Primiano: $25 on Indiana +9.5

Cain: $50 on Michigan -9.5

Darin: $25 on Indiana +9.5

Vainisi: $100 on Under 53.5

Vallese: $25 on Under 53.5

Smith: $100 on Over 53.5

Rench: $25 on Michigan -9.5

Whitchurch: $50 on Indiana +9.5

Silich: $100 on Indiana +9.5

Rench: Hey look, MLS playoffs!! (No seriously, I love me some playoff soccer.)

Darin: Perfect season for Indiana from our perspective - they embarrass Missouri and then stay right in the conference basement. Michigan shouldn't be favored by this much right now over anyone though.

Illinois vs Ohio State (-28.5), O/U: 65

Primiano: $25 on Illinois +28.5

Cain: $50 on Ohio State -28.5

Darin: $50 on Illinois +28.5

Vainisi: $25 on Illinois +28.5

Vallese: $25 on Illinois +28.5

Smith: $50 on Illinois +28.5

Rench: $25 on Illinois +28.5

Whitchurch: $25 on Illinois +28.5

Silich: $100 on Over 65

Smith: They won’t beat us by 30. They won’t beat us by 30.

Darin: Fuck it - we're on a roll.

Money On The Line This Week:

Primiano: $325

Cain: $400

Darin: $275

Vainisi: $325

Vallese: $225

Smith: $375

Rench: $275

Whitchurch: $325

Silich: $350
