And you thought college football was drunk last week? There were both risers and fallers in the polls after another crazy Saturday of games in Week Eight (which included an epic shootout between Baylor and TCU). It's fair to say that the Mississippi schools have taken the nation by storm as they are both amongst the top five teams overall, but the Big Ten's chances of a playoff team aren't all but dashed; Michigan State is climbing back up the polls and will look to make a push for the postseason. Looking ahead to Week Nine, it will feature an awesome matchup between undefeated Florida State and undefeated Notre Dame, and that will surely have a big impact on the polls as teams try to keep their playoff hopes alive. College GameDay will be in Tallahassee to follow all the action, and since the Illini aren't playing next weekend, you've got no excuse to not follow along with them.
