Last night I was busy having multiple heart attacks waiting for the Blackhawks to finally beat the Kings in double-overtime and move on to the Stanley Cup Final. While I was doing that former Illini Myke Henry was deciding that he'd be transferring to DePaul.
Henry made the announcement on Twitter last night.
DePaul here I come!!
— Myke Henry (@MykeHenry20) June 9, 2013
DePaul was one of the rumored destinations for Henry when his transfer was still just a rumor, so this isn't very surprising. He gets to return home and still play for a school in a major basketball conference as the Big East becomes the Big East version 2.0.
While I think that the Illini could have used him next season, I hope things work out for him as a Blue Demon.
