I don't know anything about NCAA golf other than the fact that the Illini have been pretty good at it for a while. I also know that the Illini eliminated #1 ranked Cal on Saturday in match play to advance to the championship on Sunday where they'll play either Alabama or Georgia Tech.
I also know -- from following on Twitter -- that Cal's golf team is really good. Like good enough that some people wondered whether they were the greatest college golf team ever.
There was talk about Cal being the best college team ever. It's regular season set a record for tournament wins (11 of 13). #ncaamgolf

BUT NOT TODAY. BECAUSE TODAY CAL RAN INTO THE ILLINI AND THE ILLINI SMOTED THEM.
Seriously, congrats to the Illini golf team. Good luck bringing that national championship back to Champaign.
