So just like that, another scholarship is off the table and John Groce's Fighting Illini squad continues to become Transfer U. Which I am honestly completely okay with. The newest player to leave their previous school to play in the orange and blue? Why, that would be Darius Paul.

The 6'8" forward will be transferring from Western Michigan and will have to sit out the upcoming season, becoming eligible during the 2014-2015 season. He adds needed size and should fit in pretty well, as it's pretty hard to hate on a big guy who can score and rebound. Plus we'll be able to cheer for another Paul even with Brandon being gone to the NBA! Everybody wins!
Paul was the Freshman of the Year in the MAC last season and after sitting out his required year next season will have three years of eligibility left. The future is looking incredibly bright.
