We've learned quite a bit about Illinois' basketball schedule next season, particularly outside the Big Ten. We know that the Illini will play at Georgia Tech in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, and that the Illini will have road games against Oregon, Missouri, UNLV and Auburn, along with UIC at the United Center. We also know that the home schedule isn't all that appealing.
And now we know a bit more about our conference schedule.
#B1G single-plays for #Illini in 2013-14: HOME vs. Purdue & Michigan and AT Northwestern & Minnesota
— Illinois Basketball (@IlliniHoops) May 14, 2013
So with that news, here's what we know about the Big Ten schedule next season.
Home games
- Purdue
- Michigan
- Indiana
- Ohio State
- Michigan State
- Wisconsin
- Iowa
- Nebraska
- Penn State
Road games
- Northwestern
- Minnesota
- Indiana
- Ohio State
- Michigan State
- Wisconsin
- Iowa
- Nebraska
- Penn State
All that's left are the dates.
As for the single-plays themselves, it's disappointing that we're only going to get Northwestern once, but at least Penn State and Nebraska are on the schedule twice. Those are wins we are going to sorely need.
