The New England Patriots have decided they could use yet another Illini, no longer being content with only having Tavon Wilson and Michael Hoomanawanui. So they went and snagged DE Michael Buchanan with the 226th pick of the draft.

Before last season, it looked like Buchanan would be the top Illini drafted this year. But things tend to go wrong and that just didn't happen. That being said, all the talent is still there and he could be one hell of a steal in the 7th round.
