The wait is finally over.

Well after weeks and weeks of speculation we finally know where the Illini will be spending the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. The Illini find themselves in the East Regional as a seven-seed, and will face Colorado on Friday in Austin, Texas.

While it was nice to get out of that eight/nine range so we weren't staring at a one-seed in the second round, it's not like things are much easier as a seven. Colorado is a good team, and I'll break them down further this week, but if the Illini do get past the Buffaloes they'll likely be facing the ACC-champion Miami Hurricanes.

That's a team that is not a pleasant matchup for the Illini.

Though, it's important to point out that it generally doesn't matter who the Illini are playing. If they're not hitting shots, they're not beating anybody. If they are, there's nobody they can't beat.

We'll find out which team shows up on Friday.
