Illinois announced season ticket prices for the 2013 football season, and there's no real change from last season other than additional Family Rate season tickets available for $99.
Here's the release from the school:
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced 2013 football ticket prices, including an additional section of family rate season tickets priced at $99. The Fighting Illini will again play seven home games, including three in the month of September and a marquee Big Ten slate of Wisconsin, Michigan State, Ohio State and Northwestern.
Sideline season ticket prices remain the same price as last year for the seven-game schedule, $230 for seats outside the 20 yard-lines and $315 for prime locations between the 20s on each side. Single-game tickets, which go on sale on July 23, will be $49 for Big Ten contests and $39 for non-conference games.
Horseshoe and student season ticket prices remain an incredible value at $99 (less than $15 per game), while a new section of $99 family rate season tickets are also available this season. Horseshoe tickets once again span sections 109-122, the new family rate tickets are in section 102, and the student season tickets remain in the north end zone (sections 132-137) and in section 101. "For several years, the $99 season ticket option has been one of the best values in the country," Associate Athletics Director for Ticketing Jason Heggemeyer said. "Between adding more of the popular family rate tickets and keeping sideline season ticket prices steady, we have options for every budget to enjoy Fighting Illini football in 2013. We're confident that our loyal season ticket holders will fill Memorial Stadium for what promises to be an exciting season."
Current season ticket holders at all price levels must renew by April 9 to remain in their current seat location or have a chance to improve their seats. Renewal information is being sent out this week. Season ticket holders may improve their ticket location by joining the I FUND or increasing their annual giving to the I FUND. The I FUND may be reached at 217-333-6277 in Champaign or 312-575-7850 in Chicago. In addition, premium seating options are available in suites and club seating areas. To inquire about available opportunities, call Illinois Premium Seating at 217-265-0347, visit FightingIllini.com, or view their 2013 sales brochure.
Those interested in becoming new football season ticket holders may contact the Athletics Ticket Office at 1-866-ILLINI-1 or purchase tickets online at FightingIllini.com. Sideline and horseshoe/family rate season tickets for new buyers are on sale now.
In addition to the exciting seven-game home slate, the Fighting Illini will also be playing at historic Soldier Field in Chicago on Sept. 14 against Washington. Student season ticket holders will receive a free ticket to the Soldier Field game, while public ticket information for the game against Washington will be posted at Fightingillini.com when it becomes available.
