Ohio State 71 Minnesota 45
While it wasn't quite as impressive as the 26-0 run the Illini went on against Northwestern on Sunday Ohio State had it's own 16-0 run in the second half last night to bury Minnesota. And as you can see by the final score, Ohio State buried the Gophers deep.
Of course, when you shoot 29% from the floor and two of your starters don't even score a single point, this is what tends to happen. Minnesota now finds itself in an Illinois-like rut in which it's lost four of five and the last two losses have come by a combined 47 points. Which sucks for Minnesota but is good for us because it improves our standing in the conference, meaning we're much more likely to get Nebraska or Northwestern in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament.
Wisconsin 69 Northwestern 41
As we saw on Sunday the injuries are finally catching up to Northwestern. After scoring only 15 points in the first half against the Illini the Wildcats could manage only 12 points in the first half last night. Much like Minnesota Northwestern only shot 29% from the floor, and much like Minnesota, it's really hard to win when you do that.
