Wisconsin 65 Wisconsin 62 OT
Yeah, that video was just Ben Brust saying "fuck your game-winning three-pointer, Tim Hardaway Jr," and that was just at the end of regulation. Brust would then hit another three-pointer in the overtime that served as the game winner, finishing with 14 points with all four of his field goals coming from deep.
All of which means that Wisconsin has now beaten both Indiana and Wisconsin Michigan this season, which goes to show you how good this team can be when it plays well. Of course, that won't stop the Badgers from bowing out in the first round of the NCAA tournament, but you can't have everything.
Michigan State 78 Purdue 65
And the biggest beneficiary of Indiana and Michigan losing this week would be Michigan State which now moves into first place in the Big Ten thanks to a relatively easy win over Purdue. The Spartans hardly needed their bench as Branden Dawson, Keith Appling, Adreian Payne and Derrick Nix accounted for 66 of Sparty's 78 points.
Iowa 71 Northwestern 57
Iowa ended a two-game losing streak thanks to their version of Brandon Paul. Devyn Marble broke out of a very bad shooting slump to score 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting while also grabbing 5 rebounds and handing out 5 assists. As for Northwestern, Reggie Hearn was the only Wildcat to break into double-digits and Purple Power has now lost three of four.
Nebraska 67 Penn State 53
I'm not even sure it's fair that they force these teams to play basketball, let alone against one another. It's kind of like that episode of South Park when Cartman starts the crack baby basketball league. Except Andre Almeida eats everybody's crack.
