Video: Illinois Defeats Indiana, 83-80

Illinois couldn't have kicked off their conference season any better. They're 1-0, Indiana's 0-1.

I shouted about this during the game, and then didn't stress the point in the recap -- Tracy Abrams wouldn't let the Illini trail today. Check out 4:20 in the highlight video. Illinois four-point overtime lead had dissolved. The game was tied and physically uncomfortable. I sprouted eight gray hairs in those moments alone.

Then Tracy Abrams took the ball, dribbled down the court, split defenders and banged in a layup. And since playing from ahead is a whole lot easier than playing from behind, the Illini never trailed again. That's due to Tracy Abrams.
