Much like last year we've started a Bowl Pick Em group for Champaign Room readers. It's free to join if you want to do so and compete against your fellow Champaigniacs. I recommend joining because while the New Orleans Bowl is basically must-watch television on its own, it moves to another level when you've got 19 confidence points you sorely need riding on it.
If you want to join it's pretty simple. All you have to do is click this link and then when it asks you for the password, you enter that password. The password? Well, we didn't want to make it too difficult for you. It's "illini." Then just fill out your picks and wait to be showered in glory.
And speaking of showering people in glory, The Champaign Room has a special announcement to make.
As you may or may not know,we also had a picks group going for the regular season in which readers picked Big Ten and Top 25 games. Well, the top three pickers are now being invited to participate in next season's You Bet Your Ass.
That's right, if they want to, our winners will be picking games against Mark, Brandon, Jack and myself. They will become internet famous and probably start dating Kate Upton or Channing Tatum. They will then move to Malibu and forget all about us while also forgetting themselves. They'll become entirely different people before waking up in a cold sweat one night and realizing the mistake they made.
Then they'll begin the long, hard process of redemption. Will the find it? I don't know, I can't see the future I'm just a college football writer with a blog, man.
Anyway, who are our three winners?
Both Wes Darin and msilich2 tied for first place with a record of 172-127. In third place was Fergie3108 at 171-128. I finished in sixth at 166-133.
So, Wes Darin, msilich2 and Fergie3108, if you are reading this and want to join You Bet Your Ass next season, leave a comment below or just email me at TheChampaignRoom@gmail.com. Or get in touch with me on Twitter @Champaign_Room. We'll work out all the details, and congrats on your excellent seasons.
