Michigan 68 Purdue 53
The final score in Ann Arbor was very much like I expected it to be going into this game, but Purdue seemed determined to surprise everybody. The Boilermakers led this game for just about the entire first half and seemed poised to make Michigan sweat this one out.
But then the second half started.
Purdue actually had a 40-39 lead five minutes into the second half but then Michigan would go on a 14-2 run over the next eight minutes to pretty much put this one to bed. Purdue's shooting touch died in the second half as it managed only 20 points.
As for Michigan, the only thing that's currently standing between the Wolverines and a possible #1 ranking on Monday is the Illini at Assembly Hall on Sunday.
