B1G Basketball Diaries: Michigan Bounces Back Quite Well

After losing its last game against Ohio State Michigan responded quite well, going into The Barn and taking it to the Gophers.

B1G Basketball Diaries is The Champaign Room's recap of all the basketballs being basketballed around the Big Ten. It is not about Leonardo DiCaprio in any way.

Michigan 83 Minnesota 75

I know it was only an 8-point deficit at the end, but when I was able to watch this game -- before the Illini decided to shoot me in the face -- I know it certainly never felt that close. Plus Michigan spent most of the second half with a double-digit lead before Minnesota closed the gap a bit at the end.

Anyway, needless to say, this is Michigan's most impressive win of the season. I was really interested to see how they'd respond following the loss to Ohio State, and I'd say they responded quite well. Tim Hardaway Jr. missed only one shot all night -- not counting free throws -- and finished with 21 points while Trey Burke had 18 and 9 assists. When those two play that well, good luck.

Northwestern 68 Illinois 54

Read about that here. Though I don't know why you'd want to.
