I was surfin' the net -- that's what the kids call it -- during halftime of the Eastern Kentucky game, looking up the NFL draft stock of Illinois players when I made a remarkable discovery.
According to ESPN and Mel Kiper, the Illini had two of the top five junior inside linebackers in the country this season. Jonathan Brown checked in at fifth, but look who's up there in second.
Why it's everybody's favorite Illini linebacker Kevin Minter!
Minter, of course, actually plays for LSU. I'm not sure how ESPN makes that mistake, though I wouldn't mind if Minter actually had played for us this season. We'd have lost games by less.
