Offensive Tackle Dallas Hinkhouse Commits To Illinois

Another juco commit gives Illinois 26 members in its 2013 class

Bradley Leeb-US PRESSWIRE

The recruiting news keeps on keeping on today, and with another fun name. First it was wide receiver Marchie Murdock committing to the Illini on Sunday, and on Monday junior college offensive tackle Dallas Hinkhouse committed to Illinois as well.

"I am officially an Illini," Hinkhouse told OrangeandBlueNews.com. "It feels great to get the process over with and know where I am going.

"[Luke Butkus] came in this morning. I talked to my o-line coach and met with coach Butkus. I was going to go on my visit first, but after meeting with them I decided to commit."

Obviously, offensive line is certainly an area where an influx of juco talent would be a big help for this team in 2013, and Hinkhouse is considered one of the best offensive tackles available on the junior college level. The problem with Hinkhouse at the moment, though, is that while he's 6-foot-5 he's only 265 pounds. He's going to have to hit the weight room and put on some weight if he's going to play tackle in the Big Ten.
