Mason Monheim Named B1G Freshman Player Of The Week

So we've got that going for us, which is nice

US Presswire

The Big Ten announced on Monday that linebacker Mason Monheim was the conference's Freshman Player of the Week. It's the second time this year Monheim has received the honor, with the last coming after the Penn State loss.

So I guess getting beat at home works well for Mason because he's on the field so much he gets to make a lot of tackles.

This week Mason finished the Minnesota game with a career-high 15 tackles, including 1.5 for loss and a half-sack.

So while this season has been a whole lot of terrible, it's nice to know that we might have something here with Mason Monheim. He's having a very good season for a freshman, and he's only going to get better.
