Illinois To Receive $25.7 Million From The Big Ten

Reid Compton-US PRESSWIRE

I hope they buy us something nice with it.

When we were growing up our parents all told us how important it was that we did good in school so we could go to college and get good jobs. Well, our parents were wrong. I won't say that they outright lied to us, but they weren't exactly honest either.

What they should have told us is to grow up and become a college. Cuz colleges get paid, you guys.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Illinois -- along with other Big Ten schools -- will receive $25.7 million from the conference this year, with $7.6 million coming from the Big Ten Network.

I wrote all about it over at Eye on College Football, so head on over and read.
