Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE
Ron Turner is back in the game, baby! According to ESPN's Brett McMurphy the former Illinois head coach will be the new head coach at FIU.
Many of you went to Illinois during the Ron Zook years. Well I went to Illinois during the Ron Turner years, and let me tell you, the Ron Turner years were just like the Ron Zook years except a whole lot worse.
Yeah, there was the Sugar Bowl season like Zook had his Rose Bowl year, but if you take away 2001 the Illini went 25-55 under Turner, with a 13-43 record in the Big Ten. Take away Zook's Rose Bowl season and his teams were still 25-47 with a Big Ten record of 12-36.
You Generation Zookers think you know pain, but you don't know shit.
And soon it will be the students of Florida International that know the pain of Ron Turner.
Tampa Bay Bucs QB coach & former Illinois coach Ron Turner will be named FIU's coach, sources told @espn
