Brian Spurlock-US PRESSWIRE
It seems inevitable that the Big Ten will be expanding its conference schedule in football once Maryland and Rutgers join, the only question is whether we'll be playing nine or ten games each season.
Once Maryland and Rutgers (and the other 12 teams that the Big Ten will likely add over the next few years) join the conference I believe it's a foregone conclusion that the Big Ten will expand its conference schedule. After all, it had already decided to go to nine games after Nebraska joined in 2011. Well, that deal fell through thanks to PAC-12 SABOTAGE, but it's up for discussion again.
Except a nine-game conference schedule isn't the only option on the table.
